How To: Apply Liquid Eyeliner for Beginners
Liquid liner can be a little intimidating, but we think it’s a go-to beauty product that every woman needs in her arsenal. Step-by-Step
1. Tip your head slightly back and look down into your mirror.
2. Place your elbow securely on a table or flat surface, then rest your hand on your face (a steady hand equals a smooth line).
3. If you need to, use your other hand to gently pull your eye taut—but avoid tugging!
4. Start your line wherever you feel comfortable—the midpoint and inner corner are both popular options—and place the liner tip as close to your lash line as possible.
5. Use small strokes to draw dashes along the lash line. Applying slightly more pressure will draw a thicker line.
6. Dab the liner to fill in any gaps.
7. Your liner should start thin in the inner corner, and get thicker toward the outer corners.
8. Dip a cotton swab in makeup remover and gently drag along the top of the line to remove any bumps.
And you’re finished!

I think part of my problem is I have a few eyelash hairs that grow a little further up than the rest. Does anyone else have this problem? Should I just pluck them?
I always have a hard time applying my black or blue liquid eyeliner. I’ll have to keep repeatedly playing this video until I get it. Watching it for the first time tells me what I should do & how to do it but it takes a lot of practice. Hopefully I can master it some day. I also add at the corners of my eyes a thin curl wing(like a cat look). Thanks for this video, it taught me how to apply the liner at the corner of the eye first making a thin line then thicker from the middle to the end. Wow! We learn something new every day. Now on to look for video on how to apply eye brow pencil on my brows. I have uneven eyebrow that I have a niece who does perfect makeup(she could be in cosmetology) but she she does mine, she gets very frustrated & gives up. I think I’ll look into getting my brows tatoo so that it’ll stay permanent for years but I bet’cha the person who will do this might give up just like my poor niece who couldn’t do it for me. I’m sad! 😞

I haven’t worn makeup in years and anything around the eyes is VERY intimidating to me. One eye will be just fine, but I guess I got a twitch or a bit of crookedness in my other eye because the job always ends up botched. Even my best friend doing it for me wouldn’t work and I avoid mascara on purpose because it just gets messy on that eye.
I hate the "fake lashes" look a lot of mascara makes, but it’s nice to see how liner looks. It gives it some definition without being overboard.
I’m practicing before work to see if I can pull this off. If not, hopefully this week I’ll have it down and next week’s shift I can start fresh with it as a habit.
